The Belarusian Customs has organized the round-the-clock operation of the electronic declaration center

The Belarusian Customs has organized the functioning of the electronic declaration center around the clock, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee.

Participants of foreign economic activity can issue declarations for goods subjected to automatic distribution or applications for the release of goods before submitting the declaration at night.

"The customs document must be submitted to the PTO of the customs authority in which the goods are located and which is a member of the center. Please note that the submission of documents is necessary only for shipments of goods for which the customs procedure of customs transit has been completed," the committee explained.

In 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, the activities of the electronic declaration center expanded due to an increase in the number of participating VET and types of documents distributed among structural divisions. Currently, 39 customs clearance points are involved in the work of the center.

The SCC stressed that the number of documents issued within the framework of the CED is increasing: if in September-October 2022 53% of customs documents submitted for the purpose of placing goods under customs procedures for release for consumption, temporary import and re-export were registered, then in the first quarter of 2023 this figure reached 64%.
