Work continues on the implementation of e-CMR electronic document flow across the customs border between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
The Minsk branch of Beltamozhservice successfully tested the preparation and transmission of several packages of e-CMR electronic documents from the consignor to the consignee with the participation of the carrier.
The e-CMR is an electronic equivalent of the international consignment note, which enables document management in cargo transportation without the use of paper consignment notes. The introduction of this system in practice will reduce the costs of cargo clearance and transportation, increase the efficiency of customs authorities, speed up the process of border crossing and cargo delivery, improve the control over cargo movement and ensure its safety.
Undoubtedly, the introduction of e-CMR will bring tangible benefits to all participants in the transport market.
