On today’s agenda: cooperation issues

The Chairman of the SCC Vladimir Orlovsky and a member of the Board (Minister) Committee for Customs Cooperation of the EEC Eldar Alisherov discussed relevant issues of interaction in the current conditions in the State Customs.

Representatives of the State Customs Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission, RUE “Beltamozhservice”, the Republican Union of Participants in Customs Relations, and the business community attended the event.

Representatives of the EAEU regulatory body have put on the agenda issues requiring additional discussion, on which a compromise has not yet been reached by the Eurasian Economic Commission. In particular, the implementation of electronic commerce and the practical implementation of certain provisions of the Agreement on the Use of Navigation Seals for Tracking Traffic in the EAEU.

The participants of the meeting also analyzed the possibility of implementing the initiative proposals of the customs authorities of Belarus concerning the improvement of the common customs rules of the Eurasian Economic Union. In particular, the commission of customs operations in respect of certain goods, amendments to regulatory legal acts, including changes in the structure and format of electronic preliminary information, the procedure for filling out a declaration for goods and an application for the release of goods before filing a declaration.

An open dialogue between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the customs services of the EAEU is one of the key factors in ensuring the development of integration. In addition, participation in such events of the business community testifies to the confidence of business in the work of customs and interest in solving common issues.
