For the first time, Beltamozhservice sent a train with fertilizers from the Gomel Chemical Plant to the People's Republic of China

On May 31, 2023, within the framework of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, for the first time, 1,500 tons of fertilizers from the Gomel Chemical Plant were sent in a full-size 60-container train to China from the Centrolit station (Gomel, cargo terminal), which will cover more than 7000 km in 14 days.

For the first time in the history of national logistics, RUE "Beltamozhservice" together with JSC "Gomel Chemical Plant", Qingdao “AGAT” and “GESENNA”, TERDUP "Gomelzheldortrans" organized a new railway container service for the delivery of complex Belarusian fertilizers to China along the route Centrolit station (Belarus) – Xianguojigan station (China).

Taking into account the strategic cooperation of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China in the field of foreign economic activity, RUE “Beltamozhservice” has been actively developing projects within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative for the transportation of goods by rail as part of organized container trains since 2016, being at the same time a consignee/shipper, co–operator and forwarder of container trains.

The container train will proceed to its destination through the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, through the Zabaikalsk – Manchuria border crossing.

In 2023, this is the fifth train organized by the Gomel branch of RUE "Beltamozhservice" on the basis of the Gomel branch of BelZHD and sent from the Centrolit station. The next goal of this project is the delivery of imported raw materials, components and goods from China in regular container trains going to the Centrolit station for enterprises of the Gomel region and other regions of the Republic of Belarus.

In five months of 2023, RUE "Beltamozhservice" has sent 29 container trains to the People's Republic of China. The volume of transported goods amounted to 48 thousand tons.

The successful organization of the project is an important starting point for the economy of the Gomel region and the promotion of Belarusian export products (complex fertilizers and other goods) to the Chinese market. In the future, RUE “Beltamozhservice” plans to expand the commodity nomenclature of Belarusian export products and increase the frequency of container train shipments.

In addition, RUE Beltamozhservice is considering the possibility of creating a hub for storing empty containers in Gomel region. The realization of this task will be an important step in creating new conditions for export-import shipments in the realities of the "new economy".

It is important that when sending trains, the company provides a full range of logistics services, including consolidation of goods from any corner of the Republic of Belarus at its own terminals, acceptance of applications for transportation, storage and phyto-sanitary control, provision of rolling stock, customs clearance of necessary transport and other documents, sealing, freight forwarding services along the entire route, customs declaration - all this is done in a day.

Given the availability of a developed partner network in the People's Republic of China, RUE "Beltamozhservice" searches for manufacturers of goods for further realization in the market of the People's Republic of China in accordance with the needs of the buyer, provides full support of the trade transaction between the manufacturer and the final recipient.
