X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus – day two

The plenary session of the X Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, chaired by the Head of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova and the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, started the second day of work.

Video messages were addressed to the participants and guests of the forum from Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The need for increasing the competitiveness of the two countries by deepening industrial cooperation, addressing issues of specialization, import substitution, primarily in microelectronics and other high-tech industries was mentioned in the video message. The Head of our State also spoke about the intensification of interregional trade, the development of transport and logistics corridors and the search for additional drivers of integration processes in his video message at the plenary session of the X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus.

The events of the Union forum were attended by Alexander Skachkovsky, First Deputy General Director of RUE "Beltamozhservice", and Mikhail Mayevsky, Director of the Mogilev branch.

The participants of the plenary session of the X Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia discussed the results of work over ten years and prospects for the development of cooperation. Seven agreements were signed at the plenary session of the X Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The next XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will be held in Vitebsk.
