Belarus and Russia discussed building new logistics schemes
On March 25, 2022, a meeting of the delegation of Belarus headed by First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich and Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin took place.
The Belarusian delegation was represented by RUE "Beltamozhservice" represented by Vadim Alexandrovich Babarikin, General Director, and Vadim Nikolaevich Vazyuro, Head of the Main Development and Sales Department.
Alexey Lyakhnovich noted that logistics chains are broken in the world today, so it is necessary to look for new directions, markets for their products. At the level of the government of Russia and Belarus, the issue of signing an agreement on transshipment and transportation of Belarusian goods through Russian ports is being considered. The document, among other things, implies an increase in the volume of transportation through the Astrakhan region."
During the working trip, the ports of the Astrakhan region were visited in order to find new solutions for the use of the transport and logistics infrastructure of Russian ports.
The issues of participation of RUE "Beltamozhservice" in the construction of transport and logistics chains in the maintenance of cargo traffic along the international transport corridor "North-South" and for the supply of Belarusian products to the Caspian states, India and other countries of Southeast Asia were considered.
