RUE "Beltamozhservice" took part in the business seminar "Cargo panorama. Container transportation". The seminar was held in an online format. The organizer was the magazine "RZD-Partner".
The following issues were considered during the seminar:
• Unprecedented influx of containers from China: causes and consequences. Switching cargo from gondola cars and motor vehicles.
• Volatility of global logistics chains and supply instability: barriers on the border with China, crowded terminals.
• Limited availability of infrastructure. Solutions, the need to build new border crossings in the east and west of the country. Improving the efficiency of warehouses, transport and logistics and distribution centers.
• Indexation of tariffs for container transportation: what will happen to the rates for container transportation in 2022 and whether it is necessary to break the indexation into several stages?
• Creating conditions for the growth of container cargo transit. How to increase the speed of container trains and what prevents it? Problems in the East with the speed, timing and methods of delivery.
• Minimization of supply chain costs during export-import and transit container transportation.

Fast and high-quality delivery of goods can help businesses work more efficiently, reduce costs and attract new customers. The seminar discussed current problems in this industry and possible ways out of them, as well as outlined some prospects for the development of transport and logistics services.
