"Smart" seal will track transit
Separate transit road transportation of goods through the territory of the Republic of Belarus will be carried out subject to the imposition of navigation devices on the cargo compartments of vehicles.
Transit road transportation of goods through the territory of the Republic of Belarus, carried out by companies whose drivers violated the requirements of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 171 dated March 25, 2020, containing measures to prevent the import into the country and the spread of infection caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus, will now be carried out subject to the imposition of navigation devices on the cargo compartments of vehicles.
This innovation is enshrined in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers dated May 25, 2020 No. 311 "On the use of navigation devices (seals)", which entered into force on June 7, 2020.
Now navigation devices can be used as an alternative to customs escort, which customs authorities have the right to use when detecting signs of non-compliance by carriers with the legislation of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
